Spain opens “Euro-Vegas” in Madrid
Regional and municipal authorities in Madrid have allowed construction of a huge casino complex, through which the city and the surrounding area will create 250 thousand jobs.
Today, the unemployment situation is very difficult for the country. In Spain, the number of unemployed reached 20%, and among young people is 45%. In Madrid, a number of unemployed exceeded tens of thousands of people. Therefore, it seems reasonable solution to the regional authorities to allow the construction of a grand casino complex, which will offer the public a large number of vacancies.

The current mayor of Madrid, Anna Bothell, said the government should amend the legislation specifically for the construction of the facility. Construction of complex "Euro Vegas" deals with american company “Las Vegas Sands”, the company's founder and one of the richest Jews in the world, Sheldon Adelson plans to invest in the construction of about 20 million euros to 2022.
The project will be built 12 hotels, which will be placed 36 thousand rooms, six casinos, equipped with more than a thousand tables and 18,000 slot machines, nine cinemas, 3 golf courses, and even open-air stage with stands for 15,000 spectators.
New gaming legislation in Spain came into force in late 2011, when the country first legalized casino online.
